We Love Green: music and more

We Love Green is a one-of-a-kind festival. It presents an impressive line-up of acts ranging from Gorillaz to Caribou, from Clara Luciani to PNL, via Angèle, Phoenix, Dinos and La Marche Bleue, among many others, but it also opens up many spaces for meeting and reflection. The festival focusses on protecting the environment, so you’ll find an open stage for conferences, screenings, and other happenings. Exhibitions by committed artists, demonstrations by chefs, workshops, a village for children, it’s all here. And although the subjects are serious, the atmosphere remains festive and convivial. 40 years of the Fête de la Musique

Here’s an anniversary not to be missed. For 40 years, the transition to summer has been marked by a celebration of all types of music. Today, you can find hundreds of musicians participating in the Fête de la Musique, in performances ranging from intimate gigs in bars or pavement busking sessions, to the most impressive of concerts in prestigious venues. You can compose your own score when it comes to enjoying the festival, from sitting on the terrace of a café to strolling the streets at your leisure, checking out performances on a whim. Among the events, the Viva Orchestra concert in the Grand Auditorium of the Maison de la Radio promises to be exceptional. Electro music lovers can dance on the Quai Anatole France. For a completely different musical genre, treat yourself to a visit to the Musée de l’Armée. Finally, the Irish Cultural Centre offers a stimulating musical mix with hip-hop from Senegal and Ireland.  

The return of Solidays

To end this musical month of June in style, head to the Hippodrome de Paris-Longchamp for the Solidays festival and its programme on the theme of Love is Back! Among the headliners you can find the Black Eyed Peas, Dubfire, M, Orelsan, Gaël Faye, Pongo and many more. You can also attend concerts in tribute to volunteers and activists and support the fight against AIDS. Of course, the objective of the festival remains to raise funds and raise awareness about this terrible spectrum of conditions. Thus, many exhibitions, meetings, conferences and events will also punctuate the festival. You can already book your weekend from June 24th to 26th and get ready to enjoy the event.
