The international riding elite gather in Paris to demonstrate their expertise and audacity as they compete in the CSI 5 star classes of the Saut Hermès, the Grand Prix Hermès, the Talents Hermès and the Prix du 24 Faubourg, a new 5 star puissance class. You’ll be amazed by the discipline and elegance of the riders and their beautiful thoroughbreds. Gardens and Rodin featured in two new exhibitions
The Grand Palais offers two exceptional exhibitions in 2017. From March 15th to July 24th, Gardens are in the spotlight with a wide-ranging exhibition involving painting, sculpture, drawings, photographs, films and more. During this multidisciplinary journey, which recounts 6 centuries of art, you will come across masterpieces and lesser-known works by artists such as Picasso, Cézanne, Monet and Matisse.
At the same time, from March 22nd to July 31st, the Grand Palais pays tribute to the father of modern sculpture, Auguste Rodin. This year’s centenary of his death provides the perfect opportunity to view over 200 of Rodin’s works and understand the power of his genius and the timelessness of his creativity.
Immerse yourself in photography and contemporary art
From March 30th to April 2nd, the magnificent Grand Palais plays host to one of the world’s most important fairs of contemporary art and design, the Art Paris Art Fair. No less than 140 galleries from all over the globe will come to present their most promising artists, while this year there will be a particular emphasis on contemporary African art.
Moving right along, April is the Month of Photography and will offer visitors a chance to seek out displays of photographic art throughout Paris, and especially within the Grand Palais. Creativity, diversity and originality will be the key words of this edition: prepare to be amazed!
