March events in Paris

The Marais is the epicentre of trends in culture, fashion and the art de vivre à Paris. A true hub of this exciting district, the Hotel Les Tournelles is the place to stay if you want to discover it and experience its energy. There is always something going on. So, if you're in Paris in March, here's what you won’t want to miss...
Taking place close to the hotel
There’s no need to head all over Paris to participate in some of the events action in March. Staying at the Hotel Les Tournelles, you will only be a five-minute walk from the Musée National Picasso. This museum installed in the magnificent Salé mansion has shown boldness by giving British designer Paul Smith carte blanche to organise an exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the death of the great Catalan artist. Colour, movement, surprises, prestigious guests… It’s all in place to bring new life to a collection that is simply timeless. From March 23rd to 26th, head to the emblematic Carreau du Temple, ten minutes on foot from our hotel. That’s where the 16th edition of the Drawing Now Art Fair will welcome more than 70 galleries, 300 artists and 2,000 works, creating a showcase of contemporary drawing that is unique in Europe. It offers the perfect way to prepare for the Art Paris Art Fair which begins on March 30th at the Grand Palais Éphémère. Finally, why not head to the Grand Palais Immersif at the Opéra Bastille for the event dedicated to Alfons Mucha? This cutting-edge immersive exhibition centre offers digital installations and interactive devices that allow you to enter the heart of the works and grasp all their subtleties and details. A wondrous experience!
All the excitement of Paris
Paris knows how to combine culture and sport. For example, attending the Paris half-marathon at the beginning of March will also present a wonderful opportunity to discover the Château de Vincennes and the Parc Floral, major stages of the 21.1 km route. You can experience sporting thrills at the Stade de France when France takes on Wales in a Six Nations Tournament Championship match on March 18th. And don’t forget the skill and beauty that will be displayed during the Saut Hermès show jumping competitions from March 17th to 19th. The Grand Palais Éphémère, installed at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, welcomes the world’s finest equestrian competitors to this CSI 5* rated event. But the month of March is also an opportunity to pamper yourself, succumb to the temptations offered by Parisian pâtisseries, stroll in the parks where the first flowers are emerging and treat yourself to a rejuvenating session in the Wellness area of the Galeries Lafayette department store…
March in Paris presents a glorious opportunity for a dream break in which culture, sport and relaxation are harmoniously combined. The Hotel Les Tournelles team will be happy to share ideas and tips and help you plan your stay.
